How about some good news, brought to you by meteorologists?
From January 1 to June 30, just ten people have been killed by tornadoes in 2015.
While a tragedy to the families and friends of each of the ten, that is an extremely low number, the third lowest in 65 years for this point in the season.
There is no question that the storm warning system gets at least some of the credit for that low number. Congratulations to the National Weather Service, private sector weather companies like AccuWeather, broadcast meteorologists, and emergency managers for their contribution to this success.
