An Alaska Airlines jet had to make an emergency landing at LAX due to being struck by lightning. All aboard are safe.

  1. It was a wonderful day. Low rumblings of thunder, lightning striking at the end of the south runways at LAX disrupting operations for a while, my tomatos getting watered! Right now at 0933, it's 82 and partly cloudy and very muggy. Radar doesn't show anything but my shoulder is telling me that it's gonna rain.
