Pachyderm Club -February 6, 2015

Mike was the guest speaker at the recent meeting of the Pachyderm Club luncheon at the Petroleum Club in Wichita, Kansas last week. Mike's presentation, New Tornado Science and its implications for Public Officials, enlightened the audience beginning with the history of the modern storm warning system and the massive Udall, Kansas tornado that ushered in the ban that crumbled in 1957, in which the government forbade weather warnings leaving the general public without the benefit of advanced warnings.

Tremendous research from the 1970's to the 1990's exploded in the fields of weather science and meteorology- a Nobel Prize worthy endeavor, which saved countless lives due to the increased lead time for tornado warnings. Mike will be speaking this week at the Farmway Owners Summit in Beloit, Kansas on Wednesday, February 11, 2015.
