Update on Northern Plains Blizzard and Cold Wave
The orange area, tonight and Saturday, will be one of extreme danger for travelers.
While new snows will be light, there will be blowing and drifting snow followed by extreme cold.
Grand Forks, ND will have a low Saturday night of -26°F and a high Sunday of -19°F! Temperatures are not predicted to rise above zero before Wednesday or Thursday. If you have to travel to these areas you need to be prepared for extreme winter conditions and life-threatening cold if you should become stuck or lost.
UPDATE: From Ginger Zee, all North Dakota schools will be closed Monday due to the extreme cold.
