Broderick Crawford Day 2013: A Meteorological Something for Everyone

Potential tropical storm, blizzard, and tornado threat all on tap for Friday based on the new GFS model run. While you can never swallow a computer model whole, it does point out that late Thursday into Saturday will be a good time to pay attention to the weather east of the Continental Divide.

The low south of Mobile, if the GFS model is correct, would be Tropical Storm Karen.

And, yes, based on popular demand, I'll provide special coverage. Plus, you can also get full coverage 24/7 from AccuWeather. Because I get concerned by out-of-season tornadoes (history shows with good reason), I am going to continue to highlight these for preparatory purposes:
  • Tornado safety rules for home are here.
  • Tornado safety rules for schools are here
If it looks like a tropical storm is in the offing, I'll be posting those safety rules and precautions, as well. Stay tuned!
