Excellent Summary of Airline Safety Procedures

Is right here and it is well worth reading.

The one thing they don't explain is why they dim the lights in the cabin before takeoff in broad daylight? Flight attendants, it would be great if you answered that question in the comments. Thanks!

  1. Cool article.

I sat in a rear-facing seat in a 777 biz class. The takeoff was very weird - the sensation was as if I was fighting to stay in the seat.

I understand the theory behind rapidly clicking your seat belt just before takeoff - but that would freak out all the flight attendants. They get antsy when everyone starts clicking their seat belts when we haven't quite gotten to the gate (but are stopped waiting to be guided in for the last few feet of taxi).
