Flash Flooding and Flight Delays

Update 6:39pm: After months of drought, Dallasites are being asked to pray for dry weather tomorrow so that the spraying to kill mosquitoes due to West Nile can be completed.  Details here

Update 6:30pm: Average delays at DFW are now 1 hour 45 minutes and at Love just over one hour.

Original posting:
Maroon = flash flood warnings, including Dallas County and northeast Tarrant County. Amber is a severe thunderstorm warning. Greens are flood advisories. Pink is a severe thunderstorm watch.

Average flight delays at DFW International and Dallas Love are 30 to 40 minutes.

This is a potentially serious flash flood situation as radar indicates more than four inches have fallen in some areas.

While the area has been in a drought, it is not a good idea to catch up all at once.

Please keep an eye on the weather throughout the Metroplex and do not cross flooded areas by foot or by car.
