Corn Belt Drought

Here is the actual rainfall for the last 30 days ending at 7 o'clock this morning.

Here is the percentage of normal precipitation for the same thirty days.

Given the above normal temperatures during this period, anything less than 50% means the corn is suffering and in the red areas (less than 25%) it is severely affected.

Courtesy of The Wall Street Journal, you can see the runup in corn prices as the drought has taken hold. Prices are up about 30%.
