Watermark Books Tonight!

Tonight at Watermark Books in Wichita we will have a very special event that I hope you will be able to attend.

  • I'll be there to tell the story of the Joplin tornado and why so many needlessly perished.
  • The presentation includes informative graphics and videos that tell the story from the point of view of people in the path of the storm.
  • Joining me will be tornado survivors Denise Neil and Jaime Green to tell what it was like to be inside the worst tornado in six decades.
  • Plenty of time for questions and answers
We start of all this at 7pm.

Watermark has a wonderful cafe (you can eat dinner, if you wish). Copies of both When the Sirens Were Silent and Warnings: The True Story of How Science Tamed the Weather will both be on sale. I'll will happily autograph either or both.

We did the presentation for the first time a few hours ago in Kansas City and it was wonderfully received. When we have all of the photos put together, we'll post a summary of the Kansas City presentation later today.
