The ONLY Safe Way to Directly View Sunday's Eclipse
Rather than using the pinhole method, many wish to view the eclipse directly. There is only one safe way to do it and that is with welder's glass.
Below is a photo of the welder's glass we gave to our guests for a WeatherData party scheduled to be held during the 1994 annular eclipse.
You put it over your eyes or glasses before you look at the sun.
Amazon has it already cut to the right size and optical darkness for safe eclipse viewing. If you order now, you should be able to get it in time.
I'm going to leave this posting at the top of the blog into Monday because of its importance. Every eclipse seems to bring cases of people who do permanent damage to their eyes through improper viewing.

You failed to say what size and optical darkness is needed. Could you say more about what to look for on Amazon? Thanks
ReplyDeletePaula, just click the colored Amazon link and it has the info you need. Safe viewing!
ReplyDeleteLooks to be all sold out. Or at least the link you posted is sold out. I will search and see if I can find another link for your readers.
ReplyDeleteThis should work per the description.
