Joplin: Before and After Split Screen Video

An amazing split-screen video of Joplin in August, 2010 and the same view after the tornado. This follows the exact streets we followed as we arrived in Joplin and it is the first time I have felt that pictures come close to conveying the scale of the disaster. The large black truck at right about 50 seconds into the video is hauling off debris. You see truck after truck departing the city.

By the way, the railroad crossing shown in the split screen "preview" image is the Kansas City Southern's. Our team at WeatherData/ AccuWeather Enterprise Solutions was instrumental in keeping trains out of the path of the Joplin tornado for both KCS and the Missouri & Northern Arkansas railroads.

NOTE: Fixed the width problem.
