Eastern Carolinas at Risk

If you were reading this blog yesterday morning, you learned that the risk of violent tornadoes was especially high in Alabama and Mississippi, which turned out to be correct. I showed you a tool used by meteorologists to help locate where the worst tornadoes might be.

Here is the latest version (from data through 2pm EDT) and it shows similar numbers to yesterday's (4's and 5's) over the eastern Carolinas ahead of the line of thunderstorms moving through the area. So, I would be closely monitoring AccuWeather.com, local media, and NOAA weather radio of a tornado approaches you and you live in this area.
