Snowstorm Moves East

AccuWeather Radar at 11:15am Eastern.

The historic blizzard of 2011 is moving east this morning, less well organized than it was at this time yesterday. The ice storm is winding down, but its effects are still being felt. Interstate 65 in Boone County, IN is closed in both directions due to an ice-related accident. AccuWeather is reporting 700,000 homes and businesses are without power this morning.

So far, Chicago's official amount at O'Hare is 19.5 inches. South Chicago reports 22 inches.

From here out, snow accumulations will be much lighter than with the earlier part of the storm.

As indicated below, AccuWeather is forecasting another snow storm for some of these same areas late in the week.
