Why Scientists Should Be Role Models

A great article from The Huffington Post. I agree so strongly, I wrote a certain book on the subject!

  1. Remember when "The 21st Century" aired on Sunday nights, narrated by Walter Cronkite? THAT spurred the imagination of the nation; far more than Hines Ward (or any other sports "hero") will today.

The science role models are still out there; they just get relagated to a cable channel. We are victims of the 500-channel cable universe.

  2. I loved that show. And, you are right, it inspired me and certainly others. Thanks for the comment!
