What is "Warnings" About?

A old friend of mine, who I had lost touch with, wrote me and said, "I hear you have a book. What is it about?" Since we have so many new blog readers, I thought I'd post the answer here.

Warnings is a story (not a science book) about overcoming odds to save lives.

Did you know that, without today’ storm warning system, we would lose 1,100 people per year in tornadoes? In a bad year, it would be around 2,000! So far this year only 34 deaths.

We have completely eliminated the once-frequent airline crashes due to downburst wind shear.

While the death toll in Hurricane Katrina was tragic, did you know more than 20,000 lives were likely saved?

Warnings tells the amazing story of how gutsy, courageous individuals overcame amazing odds to create the warning system that we take for granted.

The book is getting superb reviews. I hope you’ll click on the like at right that will take you to Amazon so you can check it out for yourself.  Or, take a look at some of the reviews that have been posted on our blog.
